EveR 6, a human-like robot found standing on the conductor’s podium of a concert by the South Korean National Orchestra. Around 30 orchestra artists took position at the back.  The robot found greeting the audience with a gesture of bowing for showing curtesy and then begins to conduct the rhythm by waving its hands in the void. The orchestra players in the background also follow the gestures of the robot's hands to play the tunes.

The two-armed robot, developed by the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, debuted at the National Theater of Korea on Friday. The South Korean-made robot will go on sale soon.

Choi Soo-yul, the show's director, said the robot directed three of the show's five songs, including one co-directed with him. And an audience member, Lee Yong-joo, who studies Korean folk music, thinks, "If the robot is combined with artificial intelligence, it will be able to analyze and understand the melody by itself and conduct an entire orchestra all by itself."
